This Instant Pot thing has saved my life! I’m a newbie, so I’m sure my explosion is coming, but so far it’s my all time favorite kitchen appliance (which is saying a LOT)!
Dried beans to perfectly cooked in 45 min, frozen solid roast to delicious in 35-45 min. Oh MY! How have I ever survived. The money I spent has already (in less then a week) saved me 3 times from dinners out! Umm….I can’t even imagine in a years time how much money we will have saved from the nights I am sick, exhausted, don’t feel like slaving in the kitchen, get home late…or just plain forget to think about dinner…until dinner time and everything is frozen (surely I’m not the only one that struggles with this)!
I chose the 7 in 1 Instant Pot for several reasons. One, it can make yogurt. We love homemade yogurt and if I can save doing it on the stove…SCORE! Also, I skipped the off brands because all I’ve seen have a nonstick insert. The Instant Pot has a stainless steel pot insert. I’m just not a big fan of non-stick coatings. They easily scratch, and I just wonder what’s getting into my food. Plus, then food starts not cooking right or sticking. I also grabbed my Instant Pot on sale, but honestly at this point I now wish I’d just have grabbed it sometime over the past 2 years. Now I’m considering all the nights we ate out…or ate junk. Those nights will still come…but I predict the will be much fewer and further between. It’s just that easy!
Because I’ve gotten lots of messages asking me specifically what did I get. Here you go:
If you feel the need for an even larger one (I went back and forth myself, but so far have found 6qt for our family of 6 is just right). But if you aren’t convinced that’s enough, they do make an 8qt as well:
